Terms of Service
Last updated July 19, 2026
These terms govern your use of www.bespokewoodcraftstudio.com and any purchase or commission with Bespoke Woodcraft Studio LLC (“Bespoke Woodcraft Studio,” “we,” “us”). By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. If something here doesn’t sit right, email us at ahmed@bespokewoodcraftstudio.com before you buy.
Shop purchases
Ready-made pieces are handmade in solid hardwood, so no two are identical: grain, color, and figure vary naturally from the photos, and that variation is part of the work, not a defect.
- Prices are listed in US dollars and may change; the price at checkout is the one that applies to your order.
- Availability is limited. Because pieces are made in small batches, an item can sell out or be made to order with a lead time we’ll show you.
- Checkout, payment, and order confirmation are handled through Shopify. Shipping timelines are estimates and begin once your order is ready to leave the studio.
- If a physical item arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days with photos and we’ll make it right with a repair, replacement, or refund. Unused, undamaged items may be returned within 14 days of delivery; return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility unless the item was faulty.
Digital downloads
Build plans, cut lists, and other digital products are delivered as files after purchase. When you buy one, we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own woodworking.
- You may download the files, print them, and build from them for your personal use, including pieces you make to sell in modest quantities as an independent maker.
- You may not resell, share, redistribute, republish, or repackage the files themselves, or claim them as your own work.
- Because digital goods are delivered instantly and can’t be returned, sales are final once the files are made available, except where a file is faulty or wasn’t delivered, in which case we’ll fix it or refund it.
Custom commissions
Bespoke work runs through our process: consultation, drawings, sign-off, build, and delivery. Commissions are agreed in a written quote, and the quote, not this page, sets the specifics of your project.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Material and labor costs can shift, so an expired quote may be re-priced.
- Deposits. Commissions follow a 30 / 40 / 30 schedule: 30% to begin (at sign-off), 40% mid-build, and 30% on completion. The initial deposit reserves your slot and buys your materials, and becomes non-refundable once those materials are purchased and work begins.
- Changes. We build to the approved drawings. Changes requested after sign-off may affect the price and timeline and will be confirmed with you in writing before we proceed.
- Timelines are good-faith estimates. Wood is a natural material and hand work takes the time it takes; we’ll keep you updated if a date moves.
- Cancellation. If you cancel after work has begun, amounts covering materials and labor already invested are non-refundable. We’ll always talk it through fairly.
Intellectual property
The content of this site (text, photography, designs, drawings, and the Bespoke Woodcraft Studio name and marks) belongs to us and is protected by copyright and other laws. Buying a piece or a plan doesn’t transfer ownership of our designs or give you the right to reproduce them for resale beyond the license granted above. Please don’t copy our photos or drawings without permission.
Warranty and the nature of wood
We stand behind our craftsmanship. If a joint fails or a defect in our workmanship appears under normal use, we’ll repair it. That warranty does not cover ordinary wear, misuse, accidents, or the natural behavior of solid wood: seasonal movement, small checks, and gradual changes in color are expected in a living material and are not defects. A little care (stable humidity, no standing water, the occasional re-oil) goes a long way.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to the site, a product, or a commission is limited to the amount you paid for it. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights that can’t be limited under applicable law.
Third-party services
Payments and checkout are handled by Shopify and Stripe, and are also subject to their terms. We aren’t responsible for those services’ own policies or availability, though we choose them for their reliability.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Bespoke Woodcraft Studio LLC is organized and maintains its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time and will revise the date at the top when we do. The terms in effect when you place an order are the ones that apply to that order.
